This quartet of sleek 15s for Nikon were completed using a mix of live action and CG. The cameras were modelled and animated in-house using Lightwave, Maya and Cinema 4D. Compositing, colour correction and online were completed using the Quantel Neo.

This graceful black and white :30 features a series of vignettes in the life of young mother who’s recently escaped debt.  The spot was produced by agency Reason Partners and directed by Jamie Way.  Upstairs contributed colour and online duties.

Ecstasy is a film adaptation of Scottish writer Irvine Welsh‘s novella The Undefeated, one of three included in the Trainspotting author’s 1996 collection of short fiction Ecstasy: Three Tales of Chemical Romance.

The Studio Upstairs provided animation and original design for the main title, while sister company Creative Post completed an extensive list of services for director/producer Rob Heydon, including full colour grading and visual effects.  The film is currently enjoying a world wide festival run.

The film screened at the Toronto and Atlantic film festivals and gearing up for its UK premiere April 20th.   Ecstasy features Lord Of The Rings’ Billy Boyd and Smallville’s Kristen Kruek.

Ashton Kutcher stars as a party-going shutterbug in this spot for Nikon Coolpix. The Studio Upstairs modelled, textured and composited the latest s6200 model of the popular camera line, swapping it into the existing :15 and :30 spots.

The Studio Upstairs recently completed stereo finishing, grading and packaging for Anasy Media‘s Desert Superstars 3D.  The documentary feature explores The Al Dafrah Camel Beauty Contest and Festival in Abu Dhabi; a contest that draws movers and shakers from across the Middle East.
